Dr Gulati is a specialist general adult psychiatrist with over 19 years’ experience in Psychiatry that includes a period of overseas training, specialisation and post-specialisation experience. He has been practicing in Australia since 2006 and obtained his Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist (FRANZCP) in 2013. He has worked in various mental health services across Australia including Brisbane and Perth metro and Bunbury regional mental health services. In recent years, he developed a special interest in civil forensic psychiatry and has qualified in Graduate Diploma in Health and Medical Laws from Melbourne Law School in 2019. He consults at Wexford Medical Centre St. John of God, Murdoch in Western Australia and also works part-time in public mental health service in East Metro MHS. He is also involved in teaching and training of the trainees in the specialist training program of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist (RANZCP).
He has a broad scope of clinical practices but has special clinical interest in anxiety disorders mainly treatment resistant Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, difficult to treat depression and psychotic disorders including schizophrenia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, adult ADHD, adult autism and autistic spectrum disorders. Besides providing for a broad range of psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions, he also conducts range of medico-legal assessments including fitness for duty, income protection medical report, pre placement assessments, reports for NDIS & DSP and Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) related assessments.'
